Voting takes place thru April 4th and the Awards will held at the Fillmore (State) Theater in Downtown Detroit on Friday, April 25th. Wish us luck and join us at the DMA's for a helluva good time!

Darrell is back at full speed and has returned to his throne as RSP's resident skin abuser. We want to thank TRA-Z and DOUG KAYE for filling in for him so generously and admirably during his extended absence.

RSP is now at work adding a few new covers and working on a few new original songs along with adding several dates to the show schedule. Check out the events page for all the dates and keep an ear out for some of the new songs at upcoming shows.

11/24/07
We found out on Saturday that Tra-Z's Mom had passed away after an extended illness. Our prayers and condolences go out to Tra and her entire family at this most difficult time.

10/27/07
Darrell had his shoulder surgery last week and it looks like it'll be until sometime in January of next year that he can get back to us. In the meantime our sister Tra-Z has been filling in admirably and we'd like to thank her for helping us out while D is out. Doug Kaye will also be doing a couple of gigs that TRA is unavailable for so our thanks go out to Doug as well.

Our first gig at the Perfect Pitcher last month went great and we look forward to coming back sometime in the near future.

The biker shows we did over the summer went great and it looks like we'll have a lot more of them next year so keep those bikes tuned up and ready to roll come spring,

We're still looking to do a massive overhaul of the website so keep your eyes peeled in the coming months for a new look here on RayStreetPark.com

6/18/07
Summertime is here and we're off and running on a lot of outdoor festival gigs. Progress on the new cd is moving along slowly but surely. We're in the mixing phase right now and we're sure we'll have it out early in 2007! We've come up with some good ideas for the cover and the title and we're waiting to get some artwork back so we're all getting really excited to get this thing put together after so long. Trust us, the wait will be worth it when you hear it!!!

We've got some great stuff coming up in the next couple of weeks. This Friday we open for DROWNING POOL at the Hayloft's X-Fest, Saturday we've got Jake's party on the Princess Cruise Ship and then Labor Day Weekend we send the summer off with a bang opening the cd release for SOCIAL FEVER at the Ritz on Saturday (along with GOOB and MUDSOC) and then the always awesome ARTS, BEATS and EATS FESTIVAL in Pontiac on Sunday. Well it's been a long time since an update, but RSP is proud to announce the arrival of our 2 newest Park Rats, Sabrina and Isabella Robertson! The twin girls were brought into this world on Thursday, August 11th by the lovely Lisa Robertson and our own skin-bashing Darrell "Rockquake" Robertson. Congrats to the both of them, and now that that's out of the way, look the hell out cuz RSP is coming back with a vengeance starting with today's show at the Easyriders Bike Rodeo in Fowlerville. Look for a full schedule in September and we'll also be getting back to work on bringing you some NEW RSP MUSIC a.s.a.p. Bottom line.......WE'RE BAAAAAAAAAACK!!!!!!!

5/31/05
The Bullfrog Blowout with Soot, Clear, us and Breadfan was OUTSTANDING! Many thanks to ALL the musicians and band members who made it out to support us all and special kudos to our Canuck bros from Breadfan for surviving the border crossing and rocking out with us for their first time in the D! The BREADFAN boys also got another killer dose on Saturday as we rocked out TNT's with our budz Paul, Shane, Tommy and Matt from PHX! It was another packed house and we think we sent the Canadians home with a true taste of DETROIT ROCK CITY! Special thanks also go out to SCREAMIN' SCOTT, JEREMY and the WRIF crew for making Saturday a true bash!

The headliner for Harleyfest has been fully confirmed and SEDUCE will reunite to close out the day! Should be another AWESOME day with a KILLER lineup of local music. RSP goes on right before SEDUCE. See ya there!!!

A great time was had by all in Muskegon last weekend. Muchos gracias to Tom Race and the Lake FX radio staff for treating us so well. Check out the pix page for a photo of us with D-Mac from Grinder and the Red Wings.

Special thanks also go out to Reed Hurrell from Grinder for adding us to the James Anders "It's All About Rock" tribute concert. We look forward to rocking out in memory of our fallen brother and you guys all know how much we feel for you as you get through this very difficult time.

In other news, Jeff's heart is still beating (thank God!), Flava Flave is back in town (we missed ya, Sista!), there's some new pix up on the photos page and everything is right in RSP world with 10 big shows coming up in June before we take a breather for the rest of the summer so Darrell can contribute to the population explosion. See ya at the showz!!!

The Links page has been completely redone. Slide on over and check it out and, while you're there, take a minute to rate us in the World Series of Rock by clicking on the link at the top of the page.

The Hellraiser gig last Friday at 5th Avenue Comerica Park was an outrageous success. Many thanks to Michele for putting together an AWESOME show with our brothers from OVERLOADED, PAPER STREET SAINTS, CRITICAL BILL, UGLY and MINDCANDY. Everyone had a blast and it was another night that showed just how much the hard rock music scene in Detroit has come together to support one another and build something special. No attitudes, no bullshit...just good friends and GREAT music!

Road trip this weekend as we hike over to Three Rivers again to blow the doors off Paisano's. Can anyone say HOTEL PARTY!!!

We're also at the New Way on Saturday rockin' with a couple of the bands from the BATTLE FOR OZZFEST t.v. show. Come on by and check out some ass-kicking hard rock.

Lots of shows coming up in the next couple of months as we pack them in before we go on hiatus for Darrell and Lisa to extend the family. Keep an eye peeled to the site for what should be a total blur of a June! See ya at the shows!!!

4/25/05
The Motor City Music Conference was a tremendous success for everyone involved. Congrats go out to Erica and Dana for putting it all together and HUGE THANKS go out to WRIF for supporting the whole thing so strongly and putting on a GREAT weekend of gigs at the Compuware Atrium. Saturday night's gig for RSP at the Atrium was a ripping good time and the setting in front of the fountain was just incredible. Darrell even took a quick shower after our set, becoming (accoring to security) the first person to wash himself down in the fountain since the building opened. WRIF broadcast live versions of "Hypocrite" and "Comatose" from the Atrium show on Sunday night and, according to WRIF's Doug Podell, the response has been tremendous. Thanks to all the Rats who came out to support the show and the conference and VERY SPECIAL THANKS go out to all the musicians and bands that were at the show, including guys from ABANDON, OVERLOADED, MANGO PIE, UNDERLAND, CLEAR, MINDCANDY, AUDIO CRUSH, ARIZING, SOUTH NORMAL, LAST, ROMEO ROCK, MINDROUGHT, the inimitable FAT JESUS, THE WAYCROSS GEORGIA FARMBOYS and anyone else I might have missed. It's ALWAYS an incredible inspiration and a huge compliment when you guys come out and support us and we can NEVER thank you all enough.

We deeply apologize for having to cancel our appearance on Sunday at the Jason Cross Memorial show at the Emerald, but Rick is still recovering from his bout with Diverticulitis and Terry's wife lost her Grandmother and they were attending services with their family. WRIF's Screamin' Scott said the night went well and we're all glad that Jason was so well remembered by all our Detroit brothers.

Rick is getting better and he'd like to pass along thanks to everyone for being so supportive of him during a difficult time. We're all very proud of him for fighting through the trouble and delivering BIG TIME on Saturday night. He is, as always.......the MAN!!!

4/3/05
With great sadness RSP wishes to inform all of our fans and friends of the passing of our brother Jason Cross, former lead singer for KOYL. Our prayers are with his family and friends. Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Sawyer Funeral Home at 2125 12 Mile Road, just west of Woodward. Jason will be laid out this Tuesday, April 5th from 3 to 9 pm and on Wednesday, April 6th from 1 to 5 with a service from 5 to 7 immediately followed by a wake at the Legion Hall across the street. A very special tribute/benefit concert has been arranged for THIS FRIDAY NIGHT, April 8th at the Hayloft Liquor Stand in Mount Clemens. Go to the events page of RayStreetPark.com for the full details.
Godspeed Brother.......

In other news our first weekend at Paisano's in Three Rivers was a GREAT time and we're coming back on May 6 for a huge Jagermeister party with Kalamazoo's rocker WRKR 107.7 fm. Thanks go out to Gary Sluder for bringing us out to the rock the sticks and we look forward to coming back and blowing the roof off the place again in May!

3/26/05
Recording on the second song for the new RSP ep was finished last weekend at MPA Studios with Producer John Avedisian Jr. and Engineer Chuck Alkazian. "Hypocrite" sounds great and we can't wait to finish the record and get this new stuff out to all of you who have been waiting for so long! We were also visited in the studio by Detroit Lions running back Kevin Jones, who was there checking out the place for a recording he's doing. He seemed to be a pretty slick dude. Here's hoping that he's that slick running the ball next football season!

The photos page was updated a little bit today so wander over and check out some pix from the acoustic show at Biker Bob's and a few other additions!

Look for more news next week as we'll be announcing info on our set at the Compuware Atrium during the Motor City Music Conference in April and more info on the Detroit Music Awards!

3/4/05
Man was the gig at The Machine Shop in Flint off the hook. Very special thanks to Kevin and Craig for taking a shot on an unknown commodity and having us in on a GREAT bill with the SOIL guys and our MINDCANY brothers. You guys definately know how to run a rock club. We VERY MUCH look forward to coming back.......to Tony, Lefty and my new bitches Eric and Carson from the Banana for being so supportive.......to John and George for the INCREDIBLE sound.......to Kimberly and the entire lovely waitstaff along with Mike, Strawberry and the rest of the MS crew who treated us so great.......THANK YOU one and all.......we hope you'll all have us back soon! But our biggest THANK YOU has to go out to the people of FLINT for being so great to a band you'd never heard. You bought a TON of our stuff, gave us an incredible amount of support and encouragement and showed us a real love for music.......Flint RAWKS!!!

Jay Hudson's birthday bash last night was an awesome night of local rock! Kudos go out to DROP (who loves ya, Faron!), SQUID (Bug and Tommy are the shiznat!), CLEAR (Boycott!!!), and THE CHESTERFIELD BRIDGE for joining with us in blowing the doors off that dump! Tiny and Mrs. Tiny are also the absolute BEST! Who's still got cake in their underwear this morning???

Tonight it's doubleheader time with The Hamtown Blowout at Shananigan's at 10 and The No Deal Records Benefit for Christina at 12:30, Saturday we go all night at MacGregors and Sunday it's an acoustic breakfast with Ray Street and our boy Meltdown at 11 am at the new Biker Bob's Harley in Taylor then we head to MacGregors for the afterparty to eat, drink and puke!

See ya on the town!

2/26/05
Yeah, the news page hasn't been updated lately. What can I say but...I BEEN BUSY!!! Some new photos did go up today on the photos page, so make sure ya check 'em out!

Tonight marks our first appearance in Flint at the world famous MACHINE SHOP with SOIL and MINDCANDY. Should be a total riot and we're looking forward to devouring Flint whole. One things for sure...the Days Inn may never be the same!

The acoustic show at Greektown Casino has been cancelled.

Big show in the works for April at the Masonic Temple in Downtown Detroit. Look for an announcement soon!

Thanks go out to the plethora (yeah, I said plethora) of musicians that have come out to support us at our gigs in the last month or so. In that time we've seen members of ABANDON, SOUTH NORMAL, OVERLOADED, CROSSFIRE, UNDERLAND, JOE GRADY, MINDCANDY, THE BRIAN SCHRAM BAND, MANGO PIE, MC HUSH, FAT JESUS and our boy BRIAN BENNETT (along with some others I'm sure I forgot) come out and rock with us and we just want to say a HUGE THANKS to all of you. We can never tell you enough how inspiring it is when other respected musicians come out to see us and we're always ready to drag you bastards up on stage with us, so keep on comin' and, again, THANKS!

RSP was featured on Flint's Banana 101.5 fm this past week and we just want to thank Eric and Carson for having us in and for spinning "Comatose", "Ten" and "Can't You See" on the airwaves. Thanks also go out to the caller who was totally rocked out by "Can't You See", to our boy Rudy from MINDCANDY for setting the whole thing up and to Koz from NO DEAL RECORDS for tagging along. GOOD TIMES!!!

Terry was recently in the studio with DOUG PODELL and JAY HUDSON to co-host MOTOR CITY RIFFS and it was a blast all the way around with "Comatose" getting a spin along with a couple of Terry's past projects including VINYL and THE SEAN BAKER ORCHESTRA. We also found time to air some MOTOWN RAGE, RUSTY LUNCHBOX and the new 50 CENT HEADRUSH so it was a great show all the way around. Look for a copy of the show to pop up on the discograpy page in the coming daze.

The acoustic thing we've been doing as of late has been going great and is a LOT of fun for us. Doing our stuff acoustically along with Rage Against the Machine, Tool, Disturbed, Black Sabbath and tons of other bizarre selections is a real kick in the arse. Like Rick said, "I don't think even Sabbath would do Sabbath acoustic", so yeah, it's a little bizarre. Look for us to reprise the acoustic jamz next Sunday, March 6th from 11 am to 3 pm at Motown Harley Davidson on Telegraph in Taylor INSIDE the showroom. Get up early, bring the kids, grab some free grub, buy some Harley gear and rock out with the RSP acoustic caravan as we help MOTOWN celebrate some BIG changes to the Taylor dealership!

That's it for now...we'll see ya out on the town!

12/25/04
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYBODY!!!

The DETROIT CHOPPERS BRICK 2 Show at The Emerald was a major success and we want to thank EVERYONE involved for an AWESOME night of local music!

Thanks go out to WRIF and DOUG PODELL, who has begun spinning our new single "Comatose" on his lunchtime all-request hour. Doug and EVERYONE at the WRIF have been and continue to be just GREAT to us and we're very proud to be getting airplay on the absolute BEST rock station in the WORLD! Thank You to EVERYONE at the Riff! You Park Ratz keep peppering Doug and the rest of the staff with calls at 313-298-9743 if you want to hear more RSP on the Riff! You can also check out the bottom of the events page for more info.

Look for more new RSP music early in the coming year as we're now starting to get together plans for recording an ep of ALL NEW tunes. We're tentatively shooting for recording in February, so those of you that have been begging for some new stuff won't have to wait much longer!

We're all primed and ready for Friday's New Year's bash at Jamie's and it's shaping up to be quite the rockin' night with a special set from our boys in MINDCANDY and many other musicians promising to be in the house including members of ABANDON, OVERLOADED, CLEAR and our boys Brian Bennett and Chris Lucas, who I'm sure will join us onstage for a few songs. Should be a rockin' good time so don't miss it. If you're gonna arrive late, there are pre-show tickets available at the bar now that GUARANTEE entry to the club no matter what time you show up, so gobble them up Ratz and we'll see ya there!

January is shaping up to be a rockin' month for us with our return to MacGregors, a great original show at the Bullfrog with ABANDON and LAST and our first weekend at The Crazy Leprechaun, so if we miss ya on New Year's we'll see ya sometime in January. Thanks to everyone for all your support this year and we hope you all stay safe and have fun for the Holidaze as we get ready to tear into another year of Ray Street rawkin!

PEACE!!!

11/28/04
First off, HAPPY HOLI-DAZE to everyone! Here's to hoping you and yours stay safe and have fun during the season!

Last night at the Bullfrog was an awesome coming together of bands, fans and friends. Thanks go out to EVERYONE who came out and helped show that the HARD ROCK scene in Detroit is blowing up big time!

After a hugely attended show at Walker's Speakeasy, we had hoped to be playing a couple more gigs in December with Darren McCarty and his band GRINDER. Unfortunately Darren has a commitment to a hockey tournament that led to cancellation of those gigs. We're hoping to get another chance to rock out with the Grinder boys in the new year, so keep an eye peeled to the events page where we'll post the info as soon as it comes together. Thanks go out to everyone who came out to Walker's for out first show with GRINDER and, although power problems held D-Mac and the boys to only being able to play a couple of songs, we assure you that the club has more than fixed the power problems and that the return gig, when it happens, will be one to remember!

We again want to remind everyone that RSP has DISOUNTED tickets available for the DETROIT CHOPPERS BRICK 2 CONCERT on December 16th. Drop an e-mail to Jeff thru the link on the events page to save some dough and get your tix for one hot show!

RSP would like to thank Ken Wasilewski and EVERYBODY at WRIF for their undying support and friendship. The VELVET REVOLVER show was a total blast and we want all of you guys to know that we deeply appreciate everything you do for us. Special regards go out to Screamin' Scott Randall and Tiny Tim Cook for continuing to spin "Comatose" on Midnight Metal every week. Give the boys a call during Midnight Metal every Tuesday thru Thursday from midnight to 1 am and tell them you appreciate thier support of RSP. The WRIF phone line is 313-298-9743.

RSP is proud to announce that we will finally be coming to Flint on January 15th to play at the world famous MACHINE SHOP CONCERT CLUB along with our brothers from MINDCANDY. RSP is looking forward to blowing out a great new venue for us and again sharing the stage with the mighty Mindcandy! Check out the events page for more info and drop an e-mail to Jeff if you're interested in hooking up on the charter bus trip we're trying to get together for this gig. It's a great chance to see a great show at a great venue!

That's about it for now, we'll see ya out on the town!!!

11/10/04
The Slayer show was OFF THE HOOK! Thanks to everyone who came out and especially to the folks at Jager for putting us on the show in the first place and giving us a chance to prove ourselves in front of one of the toughest crowds we could EVER face!

New products have been added to the RSP Swagshop on Cafepress.com. Slide over to the links page and follow on over to check out the latest in RSP merchandise!

The photos page has been massively updated, with BIG THANKS to John Avedisian Jr. for his invaluable help in doing it. The rest of the site has also been given a bit of a new look with John's help so drop us a line and let us know what you think of the changes.

We're all gettin' geared up for the show this Friday with Red Wing Darren McCarty and his band Grinder. With Screamin' Scott hosting it should be a Jager-flowing blowout!!!

The Detroit Choppers Brick 2 show has been announced. Check out the events page for all the info and make sure you contact us for DISCOUNTED tix to the show at the Emerald Theater on Thursday, December 16th.

Look for another major concert announcement coming soon as well. We're trying hard to get on a big one, so keep an eye peeled here and on the events page.

See ya all soon and THANKS again for supporting us in force last Saturday. RSP fans art the absolute BEST in Detroit!!!

10/24/04
RSP is proud to announce that we've finished work on a new single for the song "Comatose" with Producer John Avedisian Jr. and Producer/Engineer Chuck Alkazian. The song was recorded at MPA studios, one of the finest studios in the midwest and the place where Ted Nugent recorded "Fred Bear" and Madonna did "Lucky Star". We'll be releasing it exclusively to WRIF 101.1 fm very soon so start calling Detroit's number one rock station at 248-354-WRIF (9743) and putting in your requests. Special thanks go out to Chuck Griffiths for getting us into position to do it in the first place and for putting us in the hands of some incredibly talented people. We also want to specifically acknowledge John Avedisian Jr. for his work with us on the song. We couldn't have done it without ya brother and it was a great experience to work with you. Your positivity and energy are truly inspiring. Sincere thanks also go out to Chuck Alkazian, whose talent as a recording engineer pulled the best out of us and got us the biggest and best sounding recording we've ever had. You are just an amazing talent behind that board and it was an incredible learning experience for us all to work with someone of your caliber. Let's keep it going, guys!

Terry would like to again thank everyone for all their support through a very difficult time in our lives. I can't tell everyone enough how much your support and encouragement meant to me and Jacie. Our friends and family are the absolute best! THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts.

Don't forget the Halloween bash next Saturday at Drink's with South Normal and Clear. It's gonna be a BLOWOUT!

We've also just added a couple of very special guests to the Walker's Speakeasy gig on Friday, November 12. Join RSP and DOUG PODELL from WRIF 101.1 fm along with GRINDER featuring Detroit Red Wing DARREN McCARTY! Check the events page for the full details.

See ya all soon!

That's it for now, but thanks to all of you for your undying support!

8/24/04
Photos page has recieved a large update and a link to Terry's personal website has been added to the contact page!!

The Mooseapalooza last weekend was totally off the hook. Great performances all the way around from Mixxle Plix, Last, Rusty Lunchbox, Radiocraft, Supermodel-T, South Normal and Abandon and when we whipped out our latest song "King of Everything" the place went crazy. Thanks go out to Kevin for making Mooseapalooza a total rocking success!

We're in the process of finishing out our schedule into October, so keep an eye peeled here for a few announcements of some major gigs coming up soon!

Latex!!!

8/2/04
Well it's been a slow July for us but we're back to live action this weekend as we embark on another couple of months of pretty solid gigging around the Detroit area. This weekend we return to Jamie's on Ford and Sunday we're at Motown Harley Davidson for a special ALL AGES parking lot bike show bash. All you parents, bring out those young Ratz for a day in the sun! We love to get the kids up and rocking and you know we're better for them than a sugar buzz!!!

Just confirmed!!! RSP will be appearing live on MOTOR CITY RIFFS on WRIF 101.1 fm on Sunday night, August 29th at 10 pm. RSP will be in the studio with hosts SHAFFEE and JAY HUDSON and we'll be doing a special ACOUSTIC performance of a couple of RSP songs while we're there. The show starts at 10 pm so make sure you mark your calendars and tune in to hear us rock the airwaves of Detroit's world famous WRIF!!!

We want to thank everyone who supported us in the Hard Rock Cafe/Rolling Rock Battle of the Bands. We didn't make it to LaTrobe this past weekend (DOH!!!) but it was great to see all the support that came from all of you. The band that won, THE FEDS from Dallas, TX., were a really great band, so at least we didn't lose to some pansy-ass garage rockers.

You can still vote for RSP (if ya haven't already) in the ZIPPO HOT TOUR contest. There is a direct link on the links page that will take you to the Hot Tour website, where you can register and vote for a slew of great local bands from across the country. As of this morning we were in 4th place amongst the Detroit area entrants behind SILVERSPORK, LAST and 60 SECOND CRUSH, so if you've got a minute we can definately use your vote to help us move on in the contest.

New music is in the works for RSP as well, with 2 new songs nearing completion including a rarity for RSP.......a song with more than one word in the title!!! Both new jams continue to take us down a heavier and ballsier path, so keep your ears peeled for us sneaking one in live at this month's gigs to see what you Rats think of our newest material.

Don't forget the MOOSAPALOOZA on the 21st of August at Moose MacGregors in Brownstown. We haven't got a confirmed list yet but look for RSP headlining a show set to include bands such as ABANDON, SOUTH NORMAL, THE KINGSNAKES, SUPERMODEL-T, RUSTY LUNCHBOX, INNER RECIPE and many, many more at this all-day rock extravaganza. The Jager girls will be there to back us all up and it's gonna be an OUTSTANDING day of Detroit rawk so don't miss it!!!

That's it for now, but keep checking back for coming updates to the photos page and the addition of our September schedule of events.

We got the word yesterday afternoon and THANKS to ALL OF YOU we have been named the winners of the Hard Rock Cafe Detroit Rolling Rock Battle of the Bands! The final on Sunday saw an INCREDIBLE turnout of Ratz and we gotta give it up to all of you for helping us move on to the online portion of the competition. Starting July 5th you'll be able to vote for RSP online at THE HARD ROCK CAFE website where we'll go head to head against the winners from other Hard Rock Cafes around the country for a chance to open up for DISTURBED, HOOBASTANK, STAIND, SEVENDUST and many more at the ROLLING ROCK TOWN FAIR! Special props also go out to GREENSTREET, SISTA OTIS and the WHOLLY ROLLERS, RIOT IN PROGRESS, A TORN DILEMMA and LAST DAYS, who all pushed us to be at our best. The competition was tight and EVERY band involved should be proud!

Congrats to Darrell and Lisa, whose wedding was a totally OUTSTANDING day all the way around. Looks like we ended up killing off about 8 liters of Jager, so you KNOW we had a good time! Thanks go out to RUSTY LUNCHBOX for rockin' the night away and letting us get up and trash their stuff for a few songs. Maybe next time Terry and Fuller can fall THROUGH the window!!!

Just added a few more shows to the events page and the photos page also has a few new ones up, so make sure you check it out. There's also some new RSP merchandise available at the RSP Swag Shop on Cafepress.com, so jog on over to the links page and check out some new shirt designs and sport your RSP wear!!!

Until next time, much love again goes out to all the Ratz who came out and rocked the Hard Rock last Sunday. The Park Ratz most definately RULE ALL!!!
